Scotland calling!!!!

We are here!!! LOL! Well we have finally arrived and its as beautiful as we had hoped! Our new home is lovely and the garden is heaven! It backs onto woodland and fields and is so peaceful.
We managed to buy a car the first day we arrived and are managing to explore our new surroundings. As our belongings do not arrive until tomorrow we have spent the day at a beautiful woodland park in Carrbridge. It had tons of red squirrels, a treetop trail and a fantastic climbing area that my kids loved!
It feels like home already but I am missing my friends in Gibraltar so much! I want to thank EVERYONE that has either left messages on here or my e-mail. Its been lovely hearing from you all.
To the one person who left a comment demanding to know why as I leave comments on her blog and she has added me as a favourite on hers...why have I not added her onto mine yet? I can only apologise...how rude of me!!! That's my wrists well and truly slapped! I would like to point out that there are blogs on my favourites list that do not mention my blog...and I would never dream of demanding them to add me!! LOL!
Well that's me for now...I am so excited as my craft stash arrives tomorrow...YIPEE...thanks so much for visiting especially as things are so chaotic this end!!!!
Oh and the card is the one I made for Gill before I left...the ribbon is self adhesive and is by Queen&Co and is so lush!!!

Gibraltar calling....

for the very last time.
I'd started writing a list last night of everyone I wanted to thank on here...the craft club girls, everyone at the vets, SSAFA, Cat Welfare, Debbie in Irish Town, Sarah in La Linea, Megan(for teaching me to cook scrummy Spanish food and introducing me to Tapas!),the medical team, our fab Health Visitor Amanda (who is now a firm friend), the DTC Dollies (my darts team!), all the other Forces wives out here, Pebble and Carol and last but not least PCW Jo!!!
Unfortunately I worked out that if I sat and wrote down everyones names it would take up the whole page!!!
So...I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart. We have seen the most amazing things...tasted the most amazing wine...eaten the most amazing food...and most importantly...met the most amazing friends!
I'll be taking away some very special memories with me and will look back at my time in Gibraltar with much fondness especially my leaving do that the craft club girls held!!
And if you think I have forgotten someone very important...I haven't...I just don't know what to say about the most amazing, beautiful, talented, best mate I could ever have...who has cost me a fortune in crafting purchases, forced me to drink Sangria by the bucket, rammed churros and cakes down my throat, made me buy far to much jewellery, dragged me round the Spanish markets and who has shared my tears and my laughter whenever it was needed...thanks Gill for everything and for the things the others don't know about....that will get them all talking!!!
So I'm going to say bye to you all for now...see you when we get to kilt land!!!

Laughing my head off!!

One of the girls on the 3C's forum has shown us a video on youtube about scrapbooking and its hilarious!!! I never realised what our hubbie's got up to when left alone!!LOL!

Butterfly

Not MORE stitching I hear you cry!!! Yes I am guilty as charged! I made this card to show the girls at the craft club what you could do with a smaller sewing template. The paper is Basic Grey and is yummy!
Hope everyone is well today. We are busy packing and cleaning as we leave the house on Friday! I have loved my time in Gibraltar but have missed the UK so much...it's soooo good to be going home!

K and Co

I worship Basic Grey but K&Co have been bringing out the most amazing ranges. Everything on this card is K&Co and was purchased from Charmed cards and crafts. I think I got this idea off Lou sometime ago....but my memory may be wrong...if not...then thanks Lou!

Happy Birthday

Hmmm...not quite sure about this card. I love the colour...hate the peel off but my printer was packed so had to use it. Added a few beads for a touch of contrast. But my mother loved it and if it gets her approval then I should be happy!! LOL!
Thanks for stopping by,x

Especially for.....

I have played around with glass paints before but wanted to try something a bit different this time. All my craft stash is back in the UK now so had to use items from the craft club. The glass paint is old and thick so I didn't quite get the effect I wanted...but I still had fun anyway!!
The black out line is actually a peel off (one of my pet hates!) and is for someone very special...my Nana!

Awards...awards...and more awards!!!!

I love choosing who to pass my awards on to. Its a good excuse to have a nose round everyone's blogs and see what everyone has been getting up to!!
I've received the Arte Y Pico (Art & More) award from my SBS sisters Lisa and Sammi...thanks so much girls...so I am going to pass it on to 10 of my other sisters!
I don't know if I am allowed to pass it on twice on the same day but I promise not to tell if you don't!!
The rules of this award are....
1. You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contributes to the blogging community,no matter what language.
2. Each award has to give the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.
4. Award winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of Arte y Pico blog,so everyone will know the origin of this award.
5. To show these rules.
So I'm passing it onto...
Felice
Joana
Lisa Lavender
Lois
Nany
Robyn
Sue
Yesi
Kim
and Lainy!!
All their blogs are fantastic and they are all pretty special people as well!!

I also received the 'You make my day' award yesterday from Cathy.
The three people who have made my day today are...
Sammi for the lovely e-mail she sent me today and because her talent scares me!!
Pandy because her words of support today have really helped and her website is the font of all knowledge!
And to Gill...who has no blog...so I am breaking the rules here. Thanks babe for everything, xxx

April fools....

Firstly I have got a card to show you but I need to take a photo of it in really good daylight so will blog it tomorrow. Its a lot different to anything I have done before so not sure what the response will be from you guys!! Pop on tomorrow and let me know your thoughts on it!

Right then...its April the 1st and it really does feel like April Fools day...unfortunately in our house at the moment there's not a lot of joking going on. Something has happened to us as a family and we are all having a hard time dealing with it. The big move back to the UK next week IS still going ahead but we are leaving Gibraltar with under a huge black cloud and I feel like my heart is breaking with it all.
Obviously this blog is public so I cannot say what is wrong but I want to take this opportunity to thank my best mate Gill and her hubby for their support. The thought of leaving them next week just brings more tears.
I also want to say a huge thank you to my SBS sisters...all your wonderful messages today have meant so much...thanks girls,x

I am shocked though as I've received three awards today! The 'You make my day' award was from the lovely Cathy at ellieskeeperscreations . The other two are from my lovely SBS sisters but will put them on tomorrow. And yes it has made me smile for the first time in days! This means I get to nominate 13 people...yipee!!
So tomorrow there will be one very unusual card....13 nominations....and me painting the kids bedrooms!
And finally....thanks to each and every one of you that take your time to look at my blog....it really does mean a lot and makes everything really worthwhile,x
