Ribbon storage.....

Hello. My name is Emma and I am a ribbon addict! I love it and just cannot get enough. I have tried so many different ways of storing it but have never been happy. I thought recently of buying some ribbon rings but then thought I'd make some...but knew it would be really time consuming so came up with this instead!
Its amazing how many ribbons you can fit on a £4.99 plastic veg rack from Argos!

Browns, creams and greens on the front as I use them the most....
Blacks, whites and lace on one side....
And pinks on the other side....
Thicker ribbon is bagged by colour and is inside on the shelves. Corresponding fibres are hanging from the side.

Now I just need to go and buy another 3 for the rest of the colours! LOL!
I'd love to hear how you store yours and if you have an addiction as well!
Hugs,
Emma

What a great Idea, and what a lot of Ribbon you have!! lol... I can't say too much though cos I have tons of it too. I store mine in a Cropper Hopper case after seeing it on Michelle's Blog a long time ago, but also I have a great big tub for odds and ends!

Now this is a fab idea Emma. I have a real problem with ribbon storage. At the moment I have then wrapped around dolly pegs and in a plastic box well you should see it is over flowing that much the lid wont go on lol.

Fantastic invention, my puppy would have a ball with that lot!!! :-) I keep mine in various different plastic tubs ranging from icecream to Persil washing tablets to Addis food tubs. Lol. Having said that I do have two beautiful glass jars with ribbons in that my Mum bought me for my birthday last year.

WHEN I get my garage converted to a craft room (which will hopefully be before I'm dead but there's no guarantee)I intend to buy some really nice storage for my ribbons and have them all on shelves so that I can see them and get to them easily. :-)

I'm with you Emma, can't have enough ribbon. What a great idea to keep them all tidy and on show! I have it everywhere, hanging and tied to all my shelving, and i've used net wire suspended along my shelving to hold the full reels. Looks a mess but I can see what i've got. Hugs Linda x

Wowee! Love it! I'm still able to store mine rolled up in 3 compartmentalised boxes, like what you get in the bottom of a Papermania tote ... plus some carded ones in a tote pocket - I've clearly got some serious catching up to do LOL!

Wow Emma what a brill idea, mines are all in food bags according to colours and flung into a massive big see through storage box lol nowhere near as organised as yours. Babz :0)

Wow Emma I thought I had a lot of ribbon. You are very organised - I wish I could be. All my ribbons are in a big lidded basket. They are all tangled and knotted, but very well loved!! But I now need all your ribbons too!
Hope you are well.

Hi Emma, what a fabby idea - love it. ;) :) Just how many ribbons do you have, lol. :)

I have mine in a box - well this is for the smaller bits of ribbon. My longer lengths are hanging on trouser hangers - on a door in my craft room. :0

Hope you are well. :)

WOW!! What a lot of ribbon you have. Great storage idea, mine are in bags according to colour and shoved in a box - can never find what I want. This is great and so neat!
Take care, Michele

Fantastic idea & you have inspired me to sort my ribbons out. I am part way through looping them onto coathangers so I can hang on the back of my room door.

Brilliant idea Emma.

I now have mine sorted by colours in glass jars because I wasted so much time when I had them all in a big container. I've done the same with my buttons and my flowers so I just grab the jars I need now lol

my ribbon holder also picks them up when you drop them......only you have to chase her to get them back sometimes!!!!

I know what you mean, I was in Florida once by Michaels, a huge craft store where they had spools and spools of it, around 5 yards for 50 dollar cents......!!
I got all excited, felt like ribbon heaven!
